The Life & Times of Erika Lust: The Queen of Ethical Porn 🎬
Can porn be ethical? Erika Lust has built her career around this question.
The filmmaker and entrepreneur known as the queen of ethical porn will join us at Trouble for a conversation about her life, her work and an industry that many people consume but very few openly discuss.
We will discuss how she found her way into adult filmmaking, what happens when women get behind the camera and what making porn ethically actually means, both on screen and behind the scenes. Drawing on her memoir, Lust: Pleasure, Performance, Power, we’ll talk ambition, sexuality and the challenges of building a business around a subject that remains firmly taboo.
We’ll also get her take on the porn industry today. Who holds the power? Whose desires get represented? And how much has really changed for the women working within it?
